The European Association for Personnel Management is the umbrella organisation of the representative professional associations and industry organisations for personnel management in the member countries.
The goal of the EAPM is the promotion of professionalism through the exchange and accumulation of knowledge, experience and insights into personnel policy and organisational development in business and the public domain, within the context of economic and social developments. At present, there are 28 countries that are members of the EAPM. These are: Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
Every two years, the EAPM organises an international conference in the month of June. The Netherlands will host the conference in 2009 which will be held in The Hague. The host of the 24th EAPM conference is the NVP, or the Dutch Association for Personnel Management and Organisation Development (www.nvp-plaza.nl).
